Week of Prayer for Christian Unity Service

May 24, 2015

Service of Prayer for Christian Unity First Lutheran will be the host for this special service Pentecost Sunday, May 24, 2015 at 7:00PM. the guest homilist will be Fr. Tom Kane. this is a joint service with participants including clergy and members of many local churches. A reception will follow in Fellowship Hall at First Lutheran.

New Visions Bible Study

May 27, 2015

As part of a new congregational missional process called “New Visions,” the adult sessions on Wednesdays will offer “All Things Restored.” The biblical themes underscore God’s workings through the Holy Spirit to inspire and empower God’s people in Christ for mission.

Adult Bible Class Starts Tomorrow 4/15

Every Wednesday: April 15, 22, 29, May 6, 13, 20,  27 & June 3 from 10:30-11:30AM  and 7PM-8PM in the Blue Room an Adult Bible Study will be offered at St. John’s. The biblical themes of this study underscore God’s workings through the Holy Spirit to inspire and empower God’s people in Christ for mission. The themes will be:

April 15      Abraham, Go
April 22      Creation & Redemption
April 29      A Winsome People
May 6        Mission in Six Motions
May 13      Faith in Anxious Times
May 20      The Biblical Idea of Justice
May 27      The Church and the Poor
June 3        Hosting and Honoring
