January Adult Education classes: a sampling from “25 Books Every Christian Should Read”
Join the Adult Educational Committee in January as we explore “25 Books Every Christian Should Read: A Guide to the Essential Spiritual Classics”. We promise that this will not be as deep as it sounds! We will concentrate on one chapter in a book per week, so like always, it will not be necessary to have perfect attendance!
– Wednesdays at 10:30AM and 6:00PM.
– Each class led by a different person
The tentative outline:
Jan 3rd: Sayings of the Desert Fathers (ca. 300 AD)
Jan 10th Revelations of Devine Love by Julian of Norwich (1395)
Jan 17th Pensees by Blaise Pascal (1670)
Jan 24th The Cost of Discipleship by Dietrich Bonhoeffer (1937)
Jan 31st Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis (1952)
It’s not necessary to purchase this book. We’ll have a handful of used books available for use in the classes.
However, it is a handy book. If you wish, you can purchase your own copy of “25 Books Every Christian Should Read: A Guide to the Essential Spiritual Classics” By: Renovare via the web. (new ~$16, or less for used)
