What a gorgeous day it was for the 2023 Ice Cream Social at St John’s Lutheran Church! The event was held in the church courtyard with plenty of tasty ice cream available (courtesy of Stewart’s Shops) and lots of space for adults to socialize and kids to run around.

The Ice Cream Social was a fundraiser for the St. John’s Music Ministry Program and $1,153.57 was donated to the cause. The Thrivent Choice Program matched the first $800 donated, so $1,953.57 will be put in the Music Ministry fund to be used for special programs and music at St. John’s.

MANY thanks to Stewart’s Shops for supplying the ice cream, toppings and paper products.

We also thank Thrivent Financial for the “Choice Program” that is offered to Thrivent members.  We are grateful to all the Thrivent members who chose to donate their “Choice Dollars” to St. John’s Lutheran Church; that money is used to match up to $800 for fundraisers like this.

Thanks to the many people who attended the Ice Cream Social and donated to the cause. Such generosity helps keep the St. John’s music program vibrant and inspiring.
