This year at the Christmas Extravaganza event (hosted by the Hospitality Mission Team), the JAM kids returned to the stage for their 2nd Annual Christmas play.  This year’s play was called “The Gingerman Hunt”.  Santa’s cooks create/bake a Gingerman to be eaten at Santa’s Christmas Gala, but Gingerman thinks there is a deeper meaning to Christmas than just being dessert at the Gala and he heads off in search of Christmas meaning.  He tries going to parties, visiting craft fairs and watching holiday movies, but nothing seems to satisfy his quest, until he goes to the St. John’s Pop-up Pageant!  There he sees the real meaning of Christmas in action!

Getting Ready for the show…

“Mix him up, roll him out, our Gingerman is done.
Pop him in the oven, soon ready for some fun!”

“I’d come to Santa’s Gala, but I need to be a sleuth,
is Christmas more than movies? I’m off to find the truth!”

“Run, run, run, go get that Gingerman,
we need him for the Gala, please catch him if you can!”

“We hope that he is satisfied and now he will be able….
to come to Santa’s Gala as dessert upon the table!”

“We followed after Gingerman, in search of Christmas reason,
He went inside St. John’s, Pop-up pageant for the season!”

“Behold I bring good news of a great joy which will come to all the people;
for unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”

“My sleuthing days are over! I found the truth, the light!
Christmas is for Jesus, a Savior born that night!”

You’ve given us Good News! You shared the Christmas story,
Come be our GUEST at Gala, to tell about God’s glory!

Gingerman was honored, and joined them at the table,
He said a Christmas prayer, and then told about a stable.

A babe was born at Christmas, the truth, the life, the way,
Parties, fairs and shopping aren’t the reason for this day.

                                          Sooooooo…. run, run, run!
                                          As fast as you can,
                                          Follow the lead,
                                          Of the wise Gingerman.
                                          Look for Christmas meaning
                                          Don’t be afraid to share,
                                         Tell others of God’s table,
Cause there’s always room to spare!
